How is Nutritional Therapy Different?

The goal is to find the root cause to your symptoms and build a targeted healing protocol tailored to your body’s specific needs. There is no quick fix of magic pill when it comes to healing the body.  Where you are today is an accumulation of years of personal experiences and toxic exposures, that cause various imbalances and dysfunction in the body, which need to be unraveled and addressed.

"Health takes time to deteriorate like a stairs down so every persons needs will be different at each step,  no step upwards will be the same, so it’s an evolution"

My approach is a food first approach to ensure your body is functional and balanced nutritionally in all key foundations– a real-food diet, digestive health, blood sugar balance, fatty acid and mineral status, hydration, and stress management. It is not a one-size-fits all approach as each of us has our own rich and diverse ecosystem, driven by a complicated web of interconnected body systems with mutual dependencies to function optimally. Each and every body is different, so what’s good for you isn’t necessarily good for someone else.

What are the 6 Foundations of Nutritional Therapy?

1. Nutrition- Real food builds real health
The Foundation of optimal health is the science between the body and food as well as the biological processes used by the body to break down and absorb and use the nutrients.

2. Digestion: You are  what you absorb
Need to absorb the nutrients to benefit- which means digestion is key. Proper digestion provides the nutrients that fuel every single cell in the body that is used to make up every tissue and organ-so is what you eat.

3. Blood sugar regulation – What goes up must come down

Ensures consistent energy and metabolic flexibility & reduces stress on the body.

4. Fatty Acids- Most fats are your friend.

We all need healthy fats for stable energy and optimal brain function, as well as hormone balance and Satiety.

5. Mineral Balance: Minerals are the bodys’ spark plugs.

Minerals help build bones & balance hormones and other key body processes.

6. Hydration – Water is life – Life is water

The most important nutrient in our body is needed for Proper hydration and overall health. – need to make sure we absorb it.
