Chicken liver Pate for babies
Introduction
Steps
1. In a medium frying pan heat coconut oil and lightly fry chicken livers, apple and spices until liver is pink inside and no longer raw. ( leave out spices before 8 months)
2. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly, add to blender or food processor with bone broth and salt, blend until a smooth paste is formed. You may need to add a little more filtered water or broth to achieve desired consistency.
3. Once blended, can divide into portions in a ice cube tray and put in the freezeer.
4. It must be consumed within 2 days from the fridge and will keep for 2-3 months in the freezer.
How to make
Ingredients
4 tablespoons organic, unrefined, coconut oil
500grams of organic chicken livers, ( antibiotic free ask butcher)
1 medium apple, peeled, cored and diced
1/8th teaspoon cinnamon (at 8 months)- Leave this out while introducing solids at 6 months
1/8th teaspoon cumin (at 8 months)
¼ cup bone broth
Pinch Himalayan salt
